Caring For Your Carpet
General Carpet Maintenance
When it comes to maintaining your carpet, high traffic areas are the most critical. Dirt must be removed on a regular basis or it will cause excessive wear to the carpet fibers. The second concern is spot removal. Danger spots such as red wine, red beverages, urine and blood require immediate treatment or can cause permanent stains.
Vacuuming Your Carpet

Vacuum your carpet often (once or twice weekly) and before the carpet appears soiled. Vacuuming removes the abrasive dirt particles most of which are invisible and cause premature wear. As a general rule, have your carpet’s cleaned professionally annually by a certified cleaning firm. Extremely heavy traffic areas may require more frequent cleaning. Be very selective.
Spot or Stain Removal
Immediate spot removal is a key to a clean carpet. Great care must be taken in how spot cleaning is performed. A professional certified cleaner can recommend an effective spot remover and instruct you on its use. You can give us a call and we will be happy to assist you.
Stain Resistors and Carpet Treatments
Carpet is treated with stain resistant properties and soil resistors, but after a period of 2 to 3 years, some of the resistors wear off. When you get your carpet and fine fabrics cleaned, make sure to re-apply those stain resistors. If this is done, spots will be more easily removed and professional cleaning will be more effective.
